What a great addition

A Greek Deli in a busy Nottingham suburb in a bid to bring a bit of the Mediterranean to the city. Selling a range of products from wine, snacks, healthy foods and other everyday essentials, the deli also has plans in the future to introduce a cafe.

Residents are also happy to welcome a new edition and “something different” to Sherwood. Dr Lazaridi, who is originally from Greece, said the shop has been in the works since August. She said: “We have cakes, beers, wines, ready meals, croissants. Many people from the business centre want something quick and they can get that here.“We want to create somewhere where you get a positive experience for people and their families.” In the deli you can find biscuits for £1.

Dr Lazaridi continued: “We want to also create a cafe where people can come in, sit down and chat, we’re the only Greek Deli in the East Midlands area and it’s bringing Mediterranean food to Sherwood. This is our first shop and customers are happy to see something different.” People in Sherwood are also happy to see a new shop open its doors. Josie Lobbs, 30 lives in Sherwood. The waitress said: “It’s something different for the area and I see that they sell snacks which might go down well with kids after they’ve finished school. I think they’ll be something in there that will appeal to anyone and it’s that they’ve chosen Sherwood.”
