A man whose family and friends were unaware of any mental health issues he had tragically took his own life at the age of 25.
Jamie had recently had a disagreement with his boss who believed he had taken some money; an accusation that caused Jamie to become upset. A friend had heard the issue being discussed on the phone and said Jamie was upset but later cheered up. He was last seen alive at 4.30am at his Blackpool home where he was reading his phone with no signs that anything was wrong.Tragically, he was found dead by a family member just over three hours later.
The senior investigating officer’s evidence included an interview with Mr Price which explained they had an argument and he’d told Jamie never to come back. He told the officer he fully expected to see him back at work despite that and blamed himself for what had happened. He said: “This is a particularly sad case involving a young man. His family are here, he was from a supportive family. There doesn’t appear to have been anything significant ongoing in regards to his mental health. There’s nothing his friends and family could done in this case.”
With sympathy
