‘There may be an impact on family formation, stability or breakdown as individuals, who are currently just about managing financially, will see their disposable income reduce’

But the HMRC report said the change would disproportionally affect those whose main income came from working, rather than from property income, pension income or savings.supports HTML5 video Earlier, Health Secretary Sajid Javid said it would have been wrong to ‘doggedly’ stick to manifesto commitments over tax rises in the face of a crisis in health and social care as Labour warned Tory plans could force care providers to go bust.

Mr Ashworth also said Labour would invest more in staff salaries and training, give carers ‘proper’ respite support, and improve conditions for those with disabilities.

He doesn’t care the rich will remain rich it’s all going to be trouble for the people who are surviving

It seems to me that taking the necessary £20 away from those who need it the most & not taxing it from those who can afford it,is a complete failure of society! We all need each other & the “other” should not be living on the edge of destitution.

The Tory party have never been in control of the economy, past governments have damaged the country over and over again but this bunch are corrupt as well as being totally useless

The public have began to grasp that the Tories, very worryingly, are actually no longer competent, these newer lot haven’t the old party skills to manage the political or economic system. And we are seeing vast unsustainable rises in inflation and exponential increases in poverty

Health tax could increase family breakdown, tax authority warnsPlans to raise National Insurance to fund health and social care could lead to the breakdown of struggling families, UK's tax authority says Nice of the BBC to rub their noses it. The irony is that it is likely to create more social issues than solve. The real tax dodgers are those siphoning cash into their offshore accounts and big business who don’t pay any at all. As a HGV driver... I heard Germany pays the same, but accomodation is better and cheap. And I can communicate in english Stupid but you can raise premium on those who can afford it and those who can't will continue to pay what they are paying now it's stupidity to make everyone pay the same premium a man making £2m per annum should not pay the same as one earning £60k per annum
