Rocker Shane MacGowan looks like he will get out of hospital as early as tomorrow after his recent health scare.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Shane's partner Victoria Mary Clarke, 56, posted a photo of the musician smiling from his bed.Alongside the snap, she wrote: “Fingers crossed @ShaneMacGowan will be home tomorrow! @PoguesOfficial.” Just over a week ago he contracted shingles and the infection spread to his eye, leading Victoria to call for help.
Further tests confirmed encephalitis, which when left untreated can lead to death in one in 10 patients.
