Facebook and Instagram down as users flag issues with Messenger and Stories

Over one thousand people have reported issues across the popular social media apps with many stating they cannot send and receiving messages on Messenger. Additionally, users have flagged issues with Instagram Stories, with many not being able to see them or search on the app, report The Mirror.

DownDetector, a site monitoring problems online, has a spike in reports for Instagram and Facebook today. During the outage, many headed to X, formerly Twitter, to complain.Another said: "Ugh SERIOUSLY?! AGAIN!! !no wonder my videos don't wanna play!" One of the first users to post said: "Facebook is Down. Can't access my account," whilst another added: "Facebook Down/ Instagram Down everything in Meta down."
