SCIENTISTS in the Netherlands have said face masks in public places are "not necessary" and might even have a "negative impact".
Over the past week, almost 1,400 new coronavirus cases were reported, or 342 more than the week before. Coen Berends, spokesman for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, added: "Face masks in public places are not necessary, based on all the current evidence,Holland's position is based on assessments by the Outbreak Management Team, a group of experts advising the government.
Christian Hoebe, a professor of infectious diseases in Maastricht and member of the advisory team, said: "Face masks should not be seen as a magic bullet that halts the spread.

You make the blunt statement in this article that the science on wearing face masks has changed during the pandemic. It has not. If you know otherwise, please publish the evidence.
If anything you can argue they have the wrong effect. Often I see just becuase someone has one on they haven't got to bother social distancing and can stand right next to people.

Thats what happens if you smoke to much Pot Have you noticed people constantly touching the face mask in shops and adjusting it, then leave the shop take the mask off (without washing hands) stuff it in pocket, then get it out put it back on face complete with anything they've picked up in previous shop... top scientists on my street say the facemasks work very well!
