FA offers England players increased security after Raheem Sterling break-in 🟢 Sterling missed Sunday's World Cup last 16 win against Senegal to fly home and be with his family following the incident

Southgate said it was “impossible to say” if Sterling, who started England’s first two games of the tournament and has been one of Southgate’s most consistent players, would return to the camp and be in contention for the France match. “I’ve got to give him the space,” the England manager said., whose two goals in France’s last 16 win against Poland made him the youngest player since Pele in 1958 to score five World Cup knockout goals, to Lionel Messi.

“[Mbappe] is a world-class player who is always producing the moments when they are needed and that is what those top, top players do,” Southgate said. “Australia did so many things right [against Argentina] and Messi pops up and delivers that moment. That is what the big guys do. That is the challenge we face.”

Raheem Sterling and other footballers who have been targeted by criminal gangsAn armed break-in at Raheem Sterling's home, which forced him to fly home from the World Cup in Qatar, is the latest by criminal gangs targeting the homes and lifestyles of multimillionaire footballers. Unfortunately its very public when they aren't going to be home. After watching ‘24 hours in police custody’ last week it’s no wonder that this is so common. The victims get treated like criminals and the perpetrators get wrapped in cotton wool. The criminal justice system in this country is a joke! Is there any wonder when rashford and alike get paid 46k a day wages.
