Eyewitnesses urged to come forward after dingo mauls toddler on Fraser Island

The paramedic said the outcome could have been very different if the boy had encountered a pack rather than a lone dingo and warned everyone on the island to watch children carefully at all times.A decision about how to manage the dingo will be made once the identity of the dog responsible for the attack is confirmed.Parks and Wildlife Service said.

I saw a movie years ago about a dingo dragging a child from his parents campsite. The mother and father were found guilty of killing the 9 wks old baby the mother was sentenced to life and the father to 18 months.Years later pieces of baby’s clothing were found in aDingos layer.

You'd never guess that a cute dog could do that. But that's wild dogs for you. Makes you realise how we can't take for granted all the tame behaviours that have been and are bred and trained into domesticated dogs.

So...the dingo did eat the baby?!
