Ex-Blackpool and Man City wonderkid now worth £83m after ditching footy

A footy wonderkid who spent time on loan at Blackpool is now a multi-millionaire after turning his back on the beautiful game.

He'd set up a fashion business Maniere de Voir while playing and it started taking up more and more of his time. By the time he was playing for Bolton in 2017, his first career was fizzling out just as his second was taking off. It was a brave decision, but turned out to be a clever one. Fast forward to the present day and Wabara's business is thriving, with childhood friend and Gymshark founder Lewis Morgan on board and a first physical shop on London's Oxford Street opened.
