Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan leads the new Channel 4 comedy Big Mood and the series gets underway this week

Before she takes centre stage in the new season of Netflix's hit regency drama Bridgerton, Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan will next be seen starring in the new Channel 4 comedy, Big Mood.

What is Big Mood about? Best friends Maggie and Eddie have lived in each other’s pockets for ten years, through thick, thin, and multiple challenging eyebrow trends. In the opening episode, Maggie goes back to her old school to give a talk. But she's not there to inspire the children with her not-so-illustrious playwrighting career; she wants to find out if hot history teacher Mr Wilson still fancies her.

Alongside Coughlan and West, the series also sras Irish actress Niamh Cusack, Sally Phillips, Eamon Farren, Luke Fetherston, Kate Fleetwood, Rob Gilbert and Rebecca Lowman. "I'm biased, but I love the show. I genuinely think it's a brilliant show, I really do," said the Derry Girls star.
