Since they last spoke to the Guardian, the Daly family have had to find more ways to cut costs as UK bills and inflation soar

Margaret Daly was training to be a teacher and bringing up a young family, so money was tight. “In the early 1990s I was studying,” she says. “That was very difficult. I had two small children and I was always trying to make ends meet. When I qualified it took a few years after all that struggling and living frugally to find my feet.”

Guardian , perhaps you could highlight that the cost of a barrel oil has actually gone down over the last month but we are not seeing that at the fuel pumps, we are being ripped off !

Triple lock pension guarantees were abandoned due to the high inflation rate. Tax raising measures increasing costs to those affected by high inflation remain in place. Inflation is a one way street, you pay …thats it.
