Everyone Is Awesome: Lego to launch first LGBTQ+ set

HQ, tiny figurines are layered with bright, glossy paint before being placed on a rainbow-esque arch. The result, a waterfall of colour with 11 brand new minifigures striding purposefully towards an imagined brighter future, is the Danish toymaker’s inaugural LGBTQIA+ set, titled Everyone Is Awesome.

People don’t tend to realise how powerful representation in toys is for kids. Imagine a black kid growing up with just white dolls. It’s the same for gays kids. If a rainbow set of Lego has a huge negative effect on your life, you perhaps need to get a grip. Or maybe a soul.
