THE 2019 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off with a host of the competition's most iconic stars returning to perform a greatest hits medley.
Fans were buzzing with excitement as acts including Dana International and Netta returned to the stage.
It will be followed in the interval by a greatest hits medley from four of Eurovision's most iconic acts who will switch songs for an ultimate pop performance.Graham Norton narrated the opening for UK viewers after last year's winner Netta introduced the show with a comedy skit. The host explained how this is Israel's third time of hosting Eurovision, but it marks the first occasion that Tel Aviv has been the host city.
