But with presidential elections a little over a week away, the man who has revelled in “last dictator of Europe” epithets – “it’s better to be a dictator than gay”, he once said – is looking decidedly wobbly on his high wire.

depends whose history books you read at school after you all learned to chop citizens heads off you also learned how to hang people by the kneck you learned that wars were good if you won you got your own histoiry book you had religion to enforce your views media etc quite

Probably his last chance to step away quietly before either dying in office as an absolute ruler or ending up being shot against a wall when a revolution comes.

He’s not the last dictator, he’s just open about his dictatorship. So many leaders are dictators in a democratic clothing
