Europe migrant crisis: More than 500 people rescued off Italian island

Hundreds of migrants crammed onto a decrepit fishing boat were rescued off the island of Lampedusa, Italy

The rescue on Saturday delivered one of the largest numbers of migrants to the Italian island in a single day. Investigators are looking at the possibility that the migrants may have been falsely imprisoned in Libya, local media report.
