Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX crash radio recording reveals pilot's panic during doomed flight's final moments

An anti-stalling system on the plane - a Boeing 737 Max -has since been blamed for the disaster which made headlines around the world.

The Manoeuvring Characteristics Augmentation System flight-control feature was also implicated in a fatal crash involving a Lion Air flight in Indonesia last October. "We are going to do everything that we can do to ensure that accidents like these never happen again," Mike Sinnett, vice president for product strategy and future airplane development, told reporters. The FAA has agreed to significantly improve its oversight of organisations performing certifications on its behalf by July.

"With the software enhancements, we now have several layers of protection," American Airlines Captain Roddy Guthrie told reporters. The system will also be disabled if two airflow sensors that measure the "angle of attack," or angle of the wing to the airflow, a fundamental parameter of flight, offer widely different readings, Boeing said.

'Pitch up, pitch up': The final moments of Ethiopia Airlines plane crashThe Boeing 737 MAX anti-stalling technology has been linked to two deadly plane crashes, according to investigators. Oh my, I fly DJI Drones and they can sometimes fail due to sensors or satellite errors, but I never thought that the planes in the sky would ever experience these type of errors and thus fall from the sky. Thats a very interesting read is that. Its certainly not a man sat behind a Spitfire engine anymore is it. Fascinated by all things Boeing me.
