BREAKING: Ethical veganism is a philosophical belief, court rules

An employment tribunal judge in Norwich ruled that ethical veganism is a philosophical belief and is therefore protected by law

An employment tribunal judge in Norwich has ruled that ethical veganism is a philosophical belief and is therefore protected by law. He claims he was unfairly disciplined for making this disclosure and that the decision to dismiss him was because of his philosophical belief in ethical veganism. For a belief to be protected under the Act, it must meet a series of tests including being worthy of respect in a democratic society, not being incompatible with human dignity and not conflicting with fundamental rights of others. The ruling means that ethical vegans are entitled to protection from discrimination.

Has he considered he might swallow a spider when he is asleep? Or a gnat may commit suicide by flying up his nose in the street?

Can I use this EXCUSE not to go to work ‼️

Vegans have a lot of time on their hands and don't know what to do. Meat4Life

WORLD HAS GONE NUTS !!!!

Most of the feckers don’t even have a reason to BE VEGAN 🌱. It’s mainly a hipster culture.

Another crazy decision by judges. Veganism is a form of cookery, not a belief system.

Stupidity rules again

Damn that sea lion looks tasty 😋

Bullshit

Bad move for small businesses? So a chef in a restaurant decides he is a vegan, can he now refuse to cook meat, but not face consequences?

Bullshit

This will spiral out of control, these vegan nutjobs will use this to attack every aspect of meat eater's lives. You can count on it. The guy won't even use the bus to work in case he kills insects. the left are insane.

Tribunal to hear case of sacked ethical veganJordi Casamitjana argues veganism is a philosophical belief and thus protected in law Did you not just post this? Vegans, the new Atkins folks. This is the most ridiculous story ever published. The fool won’t take buses in case they kill insects. What about walking or lying in bed with the bed bugs. Why does he treat plants with such cruelty? Both Animals and Plants are organisms, by his logic it is not OK to eat animals, but it is OK to eat plants. I wonder what plants think about that?

I'm going vegan for the year and beyond - but not just for the environmental benefits #20PledgesVeganism is considered the ‘single biggest way’ to reduce a person’s environmental impact – but that’s not the only reason Adam Hamdani is changing his diet Strong believer in the piersmorgan diet.. eat meat & whatever else you like. Can’t imagine what the environmental benefits are of importing out of season veg and fruit and stuff that can’t be grown in Britain. I’d like to see vegans eatlocalproduce and eatseasonally then I might believe their environmental credentials
