With nine games of the Championship season remaining for Leicester City, Foxes manager Enzo Maresca would surely agree his side face nine huge matches to secure promotion back to the Premier League. Wouldn't he?
The difference in hope v expectation at Leeds and Leicester is marked in how much has changed in recent weeks. Less than a month ago as the top two prepared to meet each other at Elland Road, Maresca brushed off talk of the significance of the match-up, insisting; “It’s a huge, huge, huge game for them. For us, it’s one more game.”
Now the boot is on the other foot and while it may only be points difference separating the sides and Leicester have a game in hand, the hunted have become the hunters as they look to overthrow Leeds. The bravado, the swagger and confidence with their position in the table is no longer there for the Foxes and whether they admit it or not, nerves will have started to creep in.
