For me, there’s only one place calling after the long, stifled months of lockdown: a wind-roiled tonic that carves our shorelines and fills our rivers. I’ve been longing to swim in nature again; I have been taking long, cold showers and wallowing in baths, thinking how nice it would be to see a moorhen butting its head against the current, open space to stretch out and dive in, or even a snarl of river weed clutching at my feet.
Please do your research before suggesting sites in National newspapers!! Claverton weir is actually Warleigh Weir and there is NO VEHICULAR ACCESS!! No parking! The access is via bike or walk! It's a very small area and not suitable for large groups. irresponsiblejournalism
