Monday For much of the evening I sat at home watching the news channels as Notre Dame burned. A compulsive mixture of horror and disbelief as centuries of history and culture went up in flames. Even its partial loss diminishes us all. But I was also struck by how emotionally caught up I was in the fire, even though I had never actually been inside the building, as on previous trips to Paris the queues to get in had appeared never-ending.
No social justice, gender and wahmen's studies will lend civilization long before a test does. .
No but it would mean the end of decent standards of learning. The only stress in these tests is that of the teachers who are afraid of being shown up as not up to the job

Agonising over rigorous testing won't help them Tests are an indication of retained knowledge. Its the proof of education and they should stay in one form or another! That primary school leaders are disposed of if their children “underperform” and teacher pay is also linked to their students’ SATs results.But it's all about the kids don't you know
