Emmerdale's Amy and Matty say 'things are going to happen' as they tease future

Emmerdale stars Natalie Ann Jamieson and Ash Palmisciano have teased what is to come for Amy Wyatt and Matty Barton after viewers saw them tie the knot. The new Mr and Mrs Barton said 'I do' during the ITV soap's latest scenes aired on Wednesday night .

I’d love them to go the distance but it’s soap, things are going to happen. But when things happen, that does tend to make people stronger doesn’t it, often. Not every huge event rips couples apart so hopefully when things aren’t good they’ll come out the other side of it because I quite like working with Ash...

Natalie then chipped in: "And we’re always here for the drama as much as you are!" But the pair also referenced their complicated family tree with Matty's mum Moira now married to Cain Dingle, who had a son Kyle with Amy. "I think it's really interesting because Amy has a son, Kyle, and we're in Soapland so he's actually Matty's step-brother as well!" Ash said.
