YouTuber Emily Hartridge was seen receiving an e-scooter as a gift just days before she died in a fatal crash., shared a video of her boyfriend, Jacob Hazell, surprising her with the gift on 8 July.
‘Ever since I got into recovery, my mental health got worse. Simply because I had lost my crutch in drugs and alcohol. The best thing I did, throughout all of the anxious days, panic attacks and days where I could see no light was TALK about it.‘I used social media to do so, as I had gotten to a point in life that I was no longer scared to tell people how I felt. I had felt like that for long enough.
‘Right now I am not ok, but telling you all that, is ok. If I were to drink and use drugs throughout this horrible period in my life, it would fix NOTHING, it would only delay the grieving.’He went on to acknowledge that he’s learnt ‘so much’ about his mental health by vocalising his struggles.
