Glasgow City Mission are opening up their Overnight Welcome Centre next week, held in the charity’s building on Crimea Street.
As they have done for the past 12 years, Glasgow City Mission and their partners are ensuring anyone in danger of sleeping rough is offered a bed for the night.A spokesman for the charity explained: "Building on the experience and expertise of running a winter project for the last 12 years it is again our aim to make sure no one needs to sleep outside this winter.
"Our Crimea Street day-centre will be open through the night, every night, from December 1 to 31 March. We serve dinner from 6.30pm until 8pm, after which, our overnight welcome centre team will be on site. "Previously we were confined to one location in Glasgow in which to accommodate our guests. Now using Crimea Street as our base, we will be able to access an array of temporary accommodation across the city.
