The solution to mass shootings isn’t increased policing or an expanded surveillance state or runaway anti-terrorism legislation. It’s making it harder to buy a gun

new legislation that would “improve intelligence-sharing” between law enforcement agencies, building on a bill that passed the House Judiciary Committee that would create permanent offices within the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and FBI to “monitor, investigate and prosecute cases of domestic terrorism”. The proposal would also boost training to local police to detect and investigate what they believe is terrorism.

Cos its their democratic right to bare arms. Just think how bad it would be if they could drink as well

Why cant they drink is a very valid question, the age should certainly be lower.

Because the Repubs are setting things up for the inevitable civil war.

The problem is not guns, it's the American people's psychic, a war mongering leadership that cannot stop as this sickness is driven by the massive war arms manufacturers who in turn support the gun lobby, Lobbying, being another word for bribery has America where it is

Because guns it's part of their culture and they love it. And the governments and politicians never ban guns because gun industry is a good business for them. So, they keep the industry alive to keep the money flow. They don't give a f--k about people.

It’s funny too that a kid can buy alcohol but an adult buying an rifle was illegal in China.

Let them drink at 18 ffs. Seen 24yrs American guys act like frat boys in Munich.. Friend said, 'do not forget they have only been drinking for 3 years.

Why can we send them to war though?

Funny how 18 is too young in USA to buy a gun (good make it 21) alcohol 21 (OK then), but SNP think people should be able to vote at 16. You have to be consistent with important things. All 21, or nothing!

The other way round would be better. That is what I can’t understand. They are able to kill their fellow citizens but they aren’t allowed to drink alcohol. The best would be to ban both for youngsters.

It's really embarrassing that a President of USA can have his finger firmly on the red button of a nuclear war weapon of mass destruction, but cannot stop the NRA faction from declaring it's okay for teenagers to buy rapid fire rifles. 😳

Perplexing question

Except they can't actually buy an assault rifle.
