As long as we are in the EU – which may be some time – we need active and responsible representatives in the European parliament

It is not obvious how her successor would be able to take the UK out of the EU, given deadlock in the House of Commons, the unwisdom of calling an early general election and the reluctance of the Tory party to contemplate a new referendum. At last someone talking sense. This is the EU elections to vote for MEPs to be our voice in Europe. They can't stop Brexit.

Well said. There are voters from all parts of Europe, 400 million who want a European Parliament and Commission that looks at Europe and not at infighting in Westminster.

Another extension won’t be granted, whoever goes won’t be there long if at all. We voted leave so let’s just get on with that shall we.
