Eddie Howe explains to Sky Sports where Newcastle United currently are with summer transfers nufc

Eddie Howe has now been at Newcastle United for just over eight months and is in the middle of his second NUFC transfer window.Seven players bought in 2022, some £160m spent so far and five of those outfield signings set to be first eleven this coming season, with Pope a toss of the coin with Dubravka for the keeper’s job.

Newcastle United very much a team / squad in transition but what does Eddie Howe think about this current transfer window so far? The NUFC Head Coach thinks it is a very difficult competitive market and believes Newcastle have done really well to make the three signings they have done so far.still wants to add a couple more and it is indeed no secret, that a couple of attacking signings top that wish list.

There are only 19 days to go until Newcastle kick off against Nottingham Forest BUT with 38 days gone of the transfer window, there are still 46 days remaining to do transfer business, until the window ends at 11pm on 1 September 2022. The three early signings have taken a lot of the pressure off and now just a case of whether the club can put those one or two extra signings on top, to make this a potentially very special window and year for signings.will get a couple more in but we may have to be patient, every chance as well that one will be a loan deal, with top clubs every often waiting until very late on before deciding who they will allow to go out on loan.
