EastEnders London Marathon episode filmed in Cassiobury Park

Eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted a popular Watford location on TV after it featured in the latest episode of EastEnders.

TV stars were in Cassiobury Park as it was used to film part of the soap’s London Marathon episode, which aired last night, April 22.A BBC film crew, the race’s starting point banner and advertising for its real sponsors, Tata Consultancy Services, were pictured in the park as Watford Borough Council shared behind-the-scenes photos.

Did you spot Cassiobury Park in EastEnders? It was used to film the characters Jay and Honey run the London Marathon. The Herts Film Office has officially launched its website to act as a gateway for productions. You can register your property atThe episode saw characters Jay Brown and Honey Mitchell take part in the 26.2-mile race, before EastEnders later revealed the actors had actually completed the real marathon in character to film the storylines.

It comes after the Hertfordshire Film Office launched an online portal last month for productions looking to film in the county, with 12 locations billed as potential sets around Watford.
