Earth-skimming meteoroid dipped 56 miles into the atmosphere over the Netherlands and Germany before returning to space

Astronomers spotted an Earth-skimming meteoroid on September 22. The object covered a path of some 466 miles over the Netherlands and Germany. The meteoroid dipped as low as an altitude of 56 miles for 19 seconds.
