AN eagle-eyed viewer thought he had spotted a cheat at the London Marathon after a runner emerged from behind a bin midway through the race.
However not everything was as it seemed after the runner ended up posting an impressive official time of 3:53:26.Footage posted to social media showed a guy, who ran with the name Nick on his shirt, suddenly emerge out of nowhere to join the rest of the pack.But a quick check of his official marathon proved it is likely that Nick was forced to stop for a brief toilet break before continuing on with his race.
Nick, who appears to run for club Holmfirth Harriers AC, finished the gruelling 26 mile race in a time of just under four hours The official marathon website states that he began the race at 10:23 in the morning and crossed the finishing line at 14:17.
