EA FC 24 announces UEFA Euro 2024 official release date

All the way back in 2023, EA confirmed that its latest football sim would be getting bespoke content for this Summer’s UEFA Euro Championship. This came as welcome news to those with a copy of the game, especially after the game rights to the last UEFA Competition Since that confirmation last year, there was complete radio silence. Now, with the tournament set to start in just over a week, we’ve finally got some more information- a tweet from the EA Sports FC’s X account told us that the Euro Update will be coming onWe didn’t get any more concrete information than that. We already know that the update will feature new national kits and that it will be free to play for everyone who already owns the game. Beyond that nothing is confirmed.

It’s looking likely this content will take the form of a ‘Path To Glory’ promo. This includes both Icon and Hero cards whose stats will change based on the player’s real-life performance in the tournament. So far all this information is based on leaks so should be taken with a pinch of salt. If it does prove true, the timing couldn’t be better with the Ultimate TOTs cards leaving the game mode imminently.

If more speculation is to be believed, we can also expect Evolution and Friendly Cups with a Euro 2024 theme to be released, as well as themed stadiums and accompanying atmospheres. Just how much of this will be released tomorrow remains to be seen.
