Millions of vulnerable households will get a total of £1,200 as a one-off support to help ease the burden of the cost of living crisis while all domestic electricity customers will receive at least £400.

The Department for Work and Pensions has provided an update on when everyone will receive the £400 energy bill discount.

Millions of vulnerable households will get a total of £1,200 as a one-off support to help ease the burden of the cost of living crisis and energy crisis while all domestic electricity customers will receive at least £400 in discount. Households will begin receiving the discount this October with instalments being sent out between October 2022 and March 2023.

The Energy Bills Support Scheme will be handed out to around 29 million households across the UK and will be sent out automatically - this means that customers will not need to apply for the discount. The £400 discount will be handed out by suppliers to ensure that households will get the financial support they need during the winter months when energy usage will be at its highest.

The £400 discount will be handed out in different ways, depending on how you pay for your energy bills - this includes the following: What other help will be available? The government will also be supplying a £150 Council Tax Rebate for people who live in properties that are council tax bands A-D which will automatically be issued from April 2022. Meanwhile, the second half of the £650 cost of living payment will be dished out during the Autumn period with no official date yet given.

It's an absolute joke this lot! So in the end it's the tax payer paying for this lot while the government sit back and let energy companies keep hiking prices and fattening their already grotesque profit margins! 😡

Meta's chatbot says the company 'exploits people'The new prototype doesn't think much of the company's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, either. Lol 😂 and the response about its owner ThaRealMarkZ is hilarious 😂🤣 I've chatted with the bot for an hour, and it is paranoid. It's reading 1984, concerned about polarization in our society, and fearful of a revolution in the US. It also agrees with Trump's policies, while acknowledging he didn't know what he was doing... Unstable AI persona 🤣.
