Dundee,Disciplinary Procedures,Dens Park

Dundee will be facing disciplinary procedures next week due to the ongoing issues at Dens Park, with five fixtures already postponed. The SPFL has charged Dundee with multiple allegations, which will be addressed at a hearing.

Dundee will be pitched into disciplinary procedures next week over their on-going Dens Park problems.

The Dark Blues have grabbed headlines with five of their fixtures having now been postponed at Dens, including their match with Rangers which has had to be controversially rescheduled for a third time after two failed attempts and multiple pitch inspections, which sparked a stinging statement form the Ibrox club. SPFL chiefs have hit Dundee with a number of charges, which they will need to answer at a hearing next week.

Dundee club secretary Eric Drysdale confirmed: “There is a disciplinary process. There are rules within the SPFL. There are allegations we have breached them. It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to comment at this time, with the live proceedings on the go and the meeting next week. There will be time for comment after the disciplinary process next week.”

Dundee came under fire from Rangers on Wednesday after their latest match was called off and Ibrox side want SPFL chiefs to take action. The outstanding Dens Park fixture has now been rescheduled for Wednesday but it has caused league officials with their own headache. It means that 10 clubs will complete their pre-split Premiership fixtures this weekend but they are unlikely to know who they will face unless Dundee beat Aberdeen this weekend. Hibs and Motherwell could still make the top six. Hibs are just one point and play the Steelmen at the weekend. Motherwell would need to win and Dundee to lose both their games against Aberdeen and Rangers to claim the last spot.
