A suspected drug dealer's getaway plan backfired after police chased him onto a car park with a dead end in Nelson.
The driver was detained and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and numerous wraps were located on his person suspected to be Class A drugs. The driver was then arrested for possession with intent to supply and driving offences.He was also found to have no valid licence or insurance and the vehicle was being driven on cloned plates which was seized. A 53-year-old man has been released under investigation whilst enquiries are on going into the incident on January 23.

A search of the driver’s address located more suspected Class A drugs and a large quantity of cash which has also been seized.A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We have been keeping the New Year momentum up during our #weekofaction by arresting more suspected drug dealers in Pendle.
