The new proposals being drawn up by the Government aims to jump start the motor industry which has seen new car sales slump by almost 90% due to the coronavirus lockdown

Motorists will be given up to £6,000 to swap petrol or diesel cars for electric models under plans being considered by Boris Johnson.
