A teenage boy has died after a crash involving a quad bike in the Ribble Valley. Police were called to Extwistle Road near Worsthorne at 12.41am in the early hours of Saturday March 30 after a Polaris Ranger Farm bike left the road and crashed in a field.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage. Officers have urged people "not to engage in any unhelpful, unnecessary and hurtful speculation". "Our officers were called to Extwistle Road at 12.41am today following reports a Polaris Ranger Farm bike had left the carriageway and crashed in a field. No other vehicles were involved.
Sergeant Martin Wilcock, from Lancashire Constabulary's Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has resulted in a teenager losing his life and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.
