It’s an interesting object, and you might be wondering what its purpose is, or if it’s worth buying. We’ve put together a quick guide to explain everything you need to know about the Ornate Box.guides.

Head to the centre of Vernworth where a man named Auriol is running a stall near the weapon shop. In his inventory, you’re able to buy an Ornate Box for 1,000G . Do not buy the Ornate Box yet. We’ll explain why later on.Near the shop is the urchin boy who you met at the gates of the city. He may even be talking to Auriol when you first approach the shop. He’ll say he’s been wanting to buy the Ornate Box but doesn’t have the money, and will ask you to buy it for him, promising to pay you back.

You can either give him the money for it, or buy it yourself to save 200G if you helped our Flora in Melve. Either way, give him the box and he’ll thank you, introducing himself as Sven. Sven promises to repay you and leaves, giving you the vague quest objective ‘receive recompense from Sven in a few days’ time’.

From the next day, you can return to the square where Sven will be sat at the fountain in the centre for three days in a row. During the first encounter, talk to him to hear a bit more about his life and receive a jasper as a reward.
