Tell the doctor to learn some science, he doesn't know anything. The vaccine mimics the disease to create antibodies, if it has already been infected then it already has the antibodies that the vaccine was created to make, this is the basics of immunology.
However, there are no guarantees of getting the vaccines. You will be immune to the virus or not get it again' or infect someone else with COVID-19. The difference is you might not be hospitalized.
