Spain shows that no one rule for schools works the same in all regions. Their experience has been very mixed but far less than the doom & gloom that was predicted.

As a public school worker I don't think either should be open. I'll take the furloughing. We keep having new cases every week, teachers and kids alike. Who knows how many are asymptomatic carriers at this point. This is fucking insanity. Give people temp UBI and send them home.

Kids are going on blood thinners, their lungs are looking like they have smoked for 20 years, among other things but cool cool let's keep schools open b/c God knows we have the best healthcare in the world. This is fine and normal actually.

I genuinely feel so sorry for students right now. Whether it be school kids or uni kids. Imagine starting your grand adventure and you're penned in and unable to properly socialise. Awful state of affairs, and much more important than people being able to drink at a specific pub.
