Former police constable Matthew Littlefair was sentenced to two years and three months in prison at Bournemouth Crown Court
He said he was "unable to carry out daily tasks" but was found walking his dog and running on multiple occasions. Mr Littlefair is currently serving a prison sentence of two years and three months after pleading guilty to committing fraud by false representation, the hearing in Winfrith was told. He told the force he experienced symptoms including constant neck pain, headaches, an ongoing burning sensation in his thoracic spine and added his knees gave way.As a result Mr Littlefair was allowed to work from home and carry out reduced hours to accommodate his symptoms, which he claimed prevented him from normal police duties and daily tasks, the panel heard.
