Always impressive to see armchair hirelings reviewing “the literature” to disprove what anyone with experience in this domain knows is true.

Drugs are bad. If we go ahead and legalise cannabis why don't we just go ahead and legalise murder?

Yeah Maaaaaan!

Ganga definately makes you paranoid

The question itself is too simplistic. A nuanced/broader take in Scientific American: cannabis marijuana mentalhealth psychosis depression anxiety ptsd

Marihuana is for imbeciles.

In the white room with red curtains at the station

Just the anti drug zealots seizing upon anything that might prove their case that 'drugs are bad'.

Rajoy

It causes me to hate this world a little less.

Yes. However, unregulated weed many times nowadays can be tainted with some undesirable substance that could harm users or first timers. Back in the day, weed was cool; but if you weren't wrapped to tight it could trigger psychological symptoms acutely.

Ask many of your readers. Think you’ll find it does.

Yeah because psychiatrists are really going to say that marijuana causes psychosis aren't they? lol, the field is riddled with academic corruption, a simple trip to your local psychiatric hospital will show you its not even a question.

No

Just teast it and let me know what gonna happen!

No cannabis is not the demon drug that would be alcohol.

When the left enjoy something illegal they always try to justify it

Yes it does

Really why not

Yes and No The % of usage determines the outcome. Also a factor is how you take it, either smoking, drinking or in manufactured drugs. May be or may be not.

ITALIAN HEAD TRANSPLANTS FOR RUSSIAN MEN

If usage of something, both in number of uses and dose per person, has been increasing, but the cases of disorders that are suspected to be caused by that thing remain the same, then you isn't that proof there's no link?

Only if you smoke it in idiotic amounts, the same as any drug, it’s all in the hands of the sensible person/silly twat who has it. Booze is miles more harmful btw. Miles

It does.

'PUT ANOTHER ZERO ON THE END'

Yes yes yes and yes....it causes irreversible damage and psychosis in non-users. As a matter of fact it's the only known substance to cause psychosis in people who don't partake.

Alcohol can cause them. Anything you abuse where chemicals are going to the brain that shouldn't be can cause them. Cue offended dope users calling me a moron happens every time...

It can cause problems in a small minority of heavy users; most of whom were already pre-disposed to poor mental health or started young (teenagers). For the 99% of ordinary adult social users it’s fine (and far better for you than booze).

It's 2019 .... give me a break.

Tyrion4 Very true... Been down that lane before

Very interesting. But what about the hybrid strains and concentrate forms that are increasingly available? And what about interaction and causation in relation to mood and anxiety disorders and suicide risk? As a Professional I'm genuinly interested in your views.

I would suggest it does in a lot of young people. It seems to be the drug of choice for kids over alcohol now. Only a straw poll of my kids and their friends, but those using it seem to suffer from depression, anxiety, paranoia and lack of motivation.

AND THAT HURTS BRITISH PEOPLE IF YOU'RE THAT FAR GONE

YES

A SPITEFUL SHRUG OF THE SHOULDERS

Is the guardian actually providing any journalistic content these days?

I don't know. Lets see what stagnant wages, medical bills, and outrageous college tuition does first!

Yes in the same way as any drug affects different people in different ways. One thing to note though is it is not physically addictive, unlike tobacco and alcohol, so is easier to kick when you’re done with it.

It definitely causes people to dress badly, adopt hand me down stoner shtick and bore everyone shitless about the tedious process of getting hold of it.

Marijuana has been used extensively by millions of people since at least the 60’s, there must have been at least one definitive scientific study carried out that is accepted by the scientific community which can accurately tell us what the real effects of murijuana are.

Simple answer is YES!!!

NO!

Got Dang..

So long as there's funding to investigate this question, we never know the answer...

You should just ask Trump next time and write the article about Trump.

No
