Dr Jayesh Mahendra Bhatt, a consultant in paediatric respiratory medicine at at the hospital trust, treated Mr Fisher."I know at least one colleague who has seen a similar case."Scientists are becoming increasingly divided over whether vaping causes harm to human health.
Doctors said in the new study that Mr Fisher, a previous smoker, was admitted to hospital following a week of fever.Mr Fisher's condition deteriorated rapidly and he developed respiratory failure. His condition became critical ten days later and he developed severe muscle weakness, requiring a long period of rehabilitation. The teenager told medics"he had recently started to use e-cigarettes fairly frequently, using two different liquids, purchased over the counter".
The doctors said:"There are two important lessons here. The first is always to consider a reaction to e-cigarettes in someone presenting with an atypical respiratory illness. The second is that we consider e-cigarettes as 'much safer than tobacco' at our peril."

My sincere thoughts go out to this person who had an allergic reaction. Thank you skynews for the 'heads up' regarding the potential danger. Can you do me a favour and send over a link to any news story which highlights the 263 UK people who die each day from smoking? Cheers

People are mixing their own vape with all sorts of drugs. Vape juice in this country is now regulated. As long as it’s bought from a reputable retailer, is as safe as your going to get. Yes, it’s better not to vape, BUT it’s a LOT less harmful than smoking.
Their body their choice
Weird, eh? Who’d ever think breathing in smoke could be so harmful?

Seeing people continue to vape even as news that's it's dangerous, is all over the place, is a prime example of natural selection at work.
