There was an official Commission for Racial Equality, first run by Peter Newsam, Herman Ouseley, later Trevor Phillips. The CRE was disbanded and never replaced. Somehow the title, Commission for Race Equality sounds more positive that Race Inequality Commission.
As long as the suckers fall for this they'll keep with the tried and tested.
