Northern Ireland is set to go to the polls once more on July 4 after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that he has called a General Election.
While Northern Ireland will maintain 18 constituencies, there have been changes to their geographical areas and South Belfast has been renamed South Belfast and Mid Down.Read more:Chris Heaton-Harris: Northern Ireland Secretary won’t stand in General Election Meanwhile East Antrim, will take in swathes of neighbouring North Antrim and Foyle will be reduced in size, with parts of the current constituency moving into West Tyrone and East Londonderry.
The changes came about after The Parliamentary Constituencies Act 2020 required that most seats have between 69,724 and 77,062 voters.
