Richard Keogh has been left distraught after Derby County sacked him on Wednesday. The club captain suffered serious knee ligament injuries when he was in the car that his teammate Tom Lawrence crashed into a lamppost after a boozy night out on 24 September.
I think he'll have a case in court. His teammates (the drivers) continue to play. The club captain, and long term player is shafted.

So they sack the passenger and keep the drivers? Wonder how they’ll defend that at the tribunal?
He needs to sue his teammate for loss of earnings, not really the clubs responsibility it happened his employment.
Three players involved. Two have a potential market value. One probably doesn’t and is unlikely to be of further use to the club. Only one is sacked. Seems like a highly principled decision.
That insurance claim must be hefty.. employment 2 years loss of earning claim on top of injury.. wow.. xmas.come early..
