A 'depraved and evil' paedophile has been jailed for the historic sexual abuse of a child who he raped repeatedly before going on to murder a pregnant woman in Australia . Sick Michael McGrane raped the young girl 'hundreds of times' throughout the 1980s and 70s during a horrific campaign of sexual abuse which included grooming her with presents and sweets.
The predator, 62, later qualified as a doctor and moved to Brisbane, where he abused his position to drug and molest multiple female patients. One of his victims, Yuen Ling Chan, was seven months pregnant at the time, the Liverpool Echo reports. Ms Chan reported the abuse to the Australian Health Rights Commission and McGrane murdered her two months later by injecting her with a fatal dose of morphine. Four years after her murder, in 2001, McGrane was jailed for life and he admitted sexually abusing nine other women in 2003, at least four of whom were drugged. In 2013, he was released and deported back to the UK. He was then caught with nearly 1,600 indecent images of children and landed back in the docks in December 2022
