Demi Jones has revealed she felt "scared and angry" after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this month.
After pushing to have her lump investigated further, Demi underwent surgery to have it removed and the fluid tested.Speaking to The Sun Online about her reaction to her diagnosis, Demi confessed: "If I’d listened to the doctors then I might be sitting here now not knowing I had cancer inside me. Speaking of her scan, which she had in October, she said: "The tests all came back completely clear. Even today I don’t know why the ultrasound didn’t show anything."
The appointment was pushed back six times, Demi revealed. She finally received a call at the end of March and went into hospital the following week."They were about to send me away, but all I could think of was that they did that to Dad," she said. "It was only when they scanned his full body that they found cancer in his chest. So I asked if there were any more tests they could do.
