'Cultural differences between black and white people will always exist, but the most effective way to help BAME workers thrive is to employ more than just a handle of them and show that their experiences truly matter to you.'

Public conversation has shifted when it comes to the challenges facing women and minorities at work.

Even if you think you ‘don’t see colour’, your black employee will most likely have internalised a lifetime of uncertainty and inferiority in Britain.Stepping into a majority-white work space for eight hours a day can prove overwhelmingly difficult and uncomfortable. I had nobody to speak to about how my ‘4C’ hair had gone through ‘shrinkage’ the night before, meaning my coils had to undergo deep treatment, which is why the infamous headscarf was on.

Ethnic minorities are also three times more likely to have been thrown out of or denied entrance to a restaurant, bar or club in the past five years than white people. I realise that it is not the fault of my colleagues that I feel this way, but if workplaces want to get the best performance and progression out of BAME workers, the magic lies in them doing all they can to ensure a safe environment for those who aren’t being catered to.

Regardless of.colour hire.on merit.. WHO cares if u have too many white or bame If u hire on merit u have the best for the job and can never be blamed.for repping one.more.than the other

Nope! 🎶'It don't matter if you're black or white'🎶

You know, in an actual workplace...nobody actually thinks like this and it's just a made up narrative by the media?

The metro has had it’s day, clearly employing snowflakes who don’t know how to proof read. Some of the articles and statements made are so bad.

It's a racist blanket statement by definition, to assume that 'white' people (racist term) have to do anything based on the colour of their skin. HOAX oppression just to oppress another group based on their appearance, in their own native country. Give me one example please.

Treat people as you would wish to be treated... everything else is bullshit. 🧐
