David Moyes is reportedly being chased by Spartak Moscow with his West Ham contract coming to an end.
The Scot looks set to leave the London club with his second spell in charge of the Hammers set to finish when his deal expires at the end of the current season. West Ham are claimed to have held talks with Spaniard Julen Lopetegui over replacing Moyes, while Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim jetted in for talks last week. However, the Portuguese has since admitted that was a "mistake."
Moyes is due to sit down with owner David Sullivan once the English Premier League campaign is done and dusted. But the expectation is that the club will go in a different direction, bringing an end to the 61-year-old's reign. The Daily Mail reports Moyes has been approached by Spartak Moscow, who made an enquiry after sacking previous head coach Guille Abascal two weeks ago.
They claim Moyes is reluctant to commit to the Russian outfit before talking with Sullivan. A move to the country is unlikely to appeal regardless, given Russian clubs have been banned form European competition following the country's invasion of Ukraine. West Ham's attention has turned to Lille boss Paulo Fonseca, while Ipswich's Kieran McKenna has impressed the Hammers' hierarchy, with the former Man Utd coach having the Tractor Boys on the brink of promotion from the Championship.
