However, the response wasn’t the one maybe the organisers were hoping for, with many people on social media critical of the festival for giving the mic to Millar, who admitted toon two occasions in 2001 and 2003, after he was found to be in the possession of the performance-enhancing drug EPO and two used syringes in 2004.David Millar has won stages of the Tour de France and La Vuelta a Espana before receiving a suspension for doping in 2004.
