Daniel Farke delighted to welcome back 'important' Gnonto and Roberts

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke was delighted to have both Connor Roberts and Willy Gnonto available to him at Coventry on Saturday, even if both were restricted to just cameo roles. And he has explained Glen Kamara 's half-time withdrawal as the Leeds United boss looks to move on from his side's first league defeat of 2024.

"During the week I was quite confident with Connor," Farke said of the returning pair. "With Willy it was not that predictable before with just one training session with the team really . The doctor was still a bit careful with him said 'OK just perhaps for 15 or 20 minutes, not longer'. "It was not one tactical thing, but I got the feeling his energy level was definitely not his best at half-time," he added. "Perhaps he was still suffering a little bit from his illness.
